The trade-off is irreversibility. If the agent ghosts you after USDT payment, you have no chargeback recourse. Use USDT only after establishing trust through prior PayPal-protected orders with the same agent. Community standard is 3–5 successful PayPal transactions before switching to USDT for routine orders.
Avoid USDT on ERC-20 (Ethereum) network because gas fees can be 20–80 USD. TRC-20 (Tron) is the standard for replica payments.
