The mechanics โ why spreadsheets exist at all
A Taobao seller link looks like item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=.... To buy that item from outside China you cannot click the link directly โ Taobao's checkout will not accept your foreign payment method, will not ship to your address, and may not even let you create a buyer account. The way around this is a shopping agent. An agent receives your Taobao purchases at a Chinese warehouse, repacks them, and ships them to you internationally.
Each agent operates a website that converts Taobao links into its own checkout URL. CNFans links look like cnfans.com/product?id=.... Kakobuy links look like kakobuy.com/item/.... Sugargoo, Mulebuy, Hipobuy and every other agent does the same. The conversion is mechanical but tedious. For a buyer with a hundred candidate items, manually converting each one takes hours.
The spreadsheet is the workaround. Instead of converting links individually, the community shares pre-converted lists. Open the spreadsheet, scroll to the category you want, click the link โ it opens in the correct agent's product page ready for checkout. Spreadsheets originally lived as public Google Sheets shared on Reddit r/FashionReps; today most agents host them on their own domains with search and filter features built in.
The first widely-circulated Taobao spreadsheet on r/FashionReps in 2018 contained roughly 200 links across all categories. By May 2026, the largest agent spreadsheets. CNFans and ACBuy. Each contain more than 8,000 verified links across sneakers, bags, apparel, watches, jewelry and accessories.
How spreadsheets differ between agents
Update frequency
The single most important variable. A spreadsheet that has not been updated in 60 days will have a meaningful percentage of dead links (sellers close their Taobao stores, swap inventory, or get banned). CNFans, ACBuy, Hipobuy and Kakobuy update weekly. Sugargoo updates roughly every two weeks. Most smaller agents update monthly or only when a user reports a dead link.
Verification depth
Some spreadsheet entries are added after the agent has personally placed test orders and confirmed batch quality. Others are added because a community member submitted the link. The well-funded agents tend toward the former; smaller agents lean on community submissions. Sugargoo specifically tags entries by verification depth, which we appreciate.
Categorization quality
A Jordan 4 should be findable by searching "Jordan 4" โ but on poorly maintained spreadsheets, the same shoe appears under "AJ4", "Air Jordan IV", "jordan-4", and miscategorized into "Nike" with no Jordan tag. ACBuy and CNFans both have invested in search and tagging. Sugargoo less so. Smaller spreadsheets often feel like raw dumps.
Batch tier disclosure
For replica goods specifically, the spreadsheet should disclose the batch tier (PK God, LJR, BG, B12, Aeroswift, Standard). Spreadsheets that omit batch tier force the buyer to ask the seller. Adding back the friction the spreadsheet was supposed to eliminate. CNFans and ACBuy disclose tier on most entries. Hipobuy is improving. Some Tier-3 agents do not disclose at all.
Start with CNFans or ACBuy. Both update weekly, both disclose batch tiers on most entries, both have working search. If you find a Jordan 4 you want on CNFans, you do not need to look anywhere else. Hipobuy and Kakobuy are credible second picks if CNFans is having a slow day.
Spreadsheet anatomy โ what each row should tell you
A well-built Taobao spreadsheet row contains nine fields. If the spreadsheet you are using has fewer than six, switch.
| Agent | Update cadence | Dead-link rate | Tier disclosure |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNFans | Weekly | <5% | Most entries |
| ACBuy / AllChinaBuy | Weekly | <5% | Most entries |
| Hipobuy | Weekly | ~6% | Improving |
| Kakobuy | Weekly | ~7% | Partial |
| Sugargoo | Bi-weekly | ~8% | Tagged by depth |
| Superbuy | Monthly | ~12% | Rare |
| Smaller Tier-3 | Monthly+ | 15-25% | Rare |
If you want active maintenance: use CNFans or ACBuy โ both update weekly with under 5% dead-link rate. If you want QC verification depth: Sugargoo tags each entry by verification level. If you want maximum catalog size: CNFans currently leads with 8,000+ verified entries. Avoid: any spreadsheet with no visible "last updated" date โ those are usually 3+ months stale.

- Item name, the model and colorway, e.g. "Jordan 4 Royal Blue".
- Batch tier โ PK God, LJR, BG, B12, Aeroswift, Standard. Critical for sneakers.
- Price in CNY โ direct seller price before agent fee and shipping.
- Agent-converted link, clickable, opens in agent's checkout.
- QC photos available, yes/no plus link to sample QC images.
- Last verified date โ when the agent or community last confirmed the link works.
- Seller note, anything unusual about this seller (ships fast, requires deposit, doesn't ship to certain countries).
- Community rating, usually a 5-star scale aggregated from Reddit haul reviews.
- Category tags, for filtering across thousands of entries.
Why this site is called "Taobao-Spreadsheets" but is not itself a spreadsheet
Fair question. The name reflects our role: we are a directory for the spreadsheet ecosystem rather than a single spreadsheet of our own. We compare all 30 active agent spreadsheets so you can pick the right one. We also publish 40+ Yupoo factory catalogs โ which are not Taobao spreadsheets, they are direct factory albums, but they fit the same buyer journey of "skip the searching, go to known-good sources".
If you want a single spreadsheet that we have personally tested, the closest match is our Taobao Reps Spreadsheet โ focused on replica goods with batch tier disclosure, verified weekly. It is smaller than the CNFans master list but every link has passed our own QC review.
Common spreadsheet mistakes โ and how to avoid them
Trusting an outdated spreadsheet
The spreadsheet you found on a 2024 Reddit post is almost certainly out of date. Look for spreadsheets with visible "last updated" timestamps. Anything older than 30 days, treat as historical reference only.
Buying without checking QC photos first
Spreadsheets are a discovery tool, not a quality guarantee. Always request QC photos through your agent before approving the purchase. Sugargoo's QC service is the gold standard; CNFans and others are sufficient for most categories.
Ignoring batch tier and assuming all sneakers are equal
A PK God Jordan 4 and a Standard Jordan 4 can look identical in a thumbnail and differ dramatically in build quality and in price (sometimes 2-3x). Read the batch tier column. If the spreadsheet does not disclose it, ask the agent before purchasing.
Using a spreadsheet locked to one agent for cost-comparison shopping
A CNFans spreadsheet only shows you CNFans-converted links. If you are price-comparing across agents, you need either a converter tool (the JadeShip universal converter is free and reliable) or a multi-agent spreadsheet platform like fashionrepsfind.com.
The same Taobao seller link can cost 8-15% more or less depending on which agent you route it through, once service fee, exchange rate markup, and shipping consolidation are factored in. A spreadsheet locked to one agent hides this difference. Multi-agent converter tools surface it.
The future of Taobao spreadsheets
Two trends are visible in May 2026. First, consolidation: smaller agents are partnering with established spreadsheet brands (hipobuyspreadsheet.net for Hipobuy, taobaosheets.com, repdanes.dk for ACBuy and Taobao combined) rather than maintaining their own. Second, AI summarization: large agents are experimenting with AI-generated QC summaries and translated seller notes, particularly for buyers who do not read Chinese. The community is divided on whether this is helpful or noise.
What is not changing: dead links are still the enemy, batch tiers still matter for replicas, QC photos still rule, and the spreadsheet is still just a starting point. Use it to find candidates, then verify each candidate with photo proof before paying.
